Staging Your Home

The age old expression ‘you never get a second chance to make a first impression’ certainly applies when it comes to attracting buyers to a for sale home. In order to present your home in it’s best light, we want to make sure every aspect of your home is at it’s best. Focus on the following:

Landscaping: make sure trees & shrubs are trimmed, gardens beds & driveway edged, lawn mowed & raked, dead limbs removed from trees & shrubs, driveways & walkways cleared for easy access.

Building Exteriors: make sure paint on siding & trim is in good condition, remove debris from roofs & gutters, make sure all exterior lights work, make sure grounds are clear of junk & items not in use.

Interior: make sure windows are washed, walls & trim are washed & painted, flooring is clean, fixtures, cabinets & counters are clean, excess or unused furniture is removed, beds are made, laundry is put away, and the home is free of odors such as smoke or pets.

Basement: make sure lights are operable & as bright as possible, remove any unused items, tidy up storage areas, vacuum or dust water heater/furnace/boiler…& surrounding areas, sweep/clean stairways, dehumidifier is working when in use.

Garages: make sure lights function well, floor is swept & clean, windows & sills clean & bug free, garage door is clean inside & outside, storage & workspaces are tidy, & excess/unused items are removed.
